What are Window Clings

Window clings are adhesive-free vinyl graphics that stick to glass surfaces using static electricity. These stickers can be attached to glass or similar surfaces to share your ideas or decorate your spaces. You can use eye-catching window clings for businesses to present your working hours, services, logo, or to promote products or seasonal offers. The product comes in clear or opaque finishes with printed UV graphics that last for years with proper care. Thanks to the material’s static properties, they can be easily applied, removed, and repositioned without losing their grip or leaving residue. If you’re not satisfied with the position of your graphics, simply peel them off and reapply them.

Window Cling Printing and Material

We provide high-resolution, full-color printing for window clings that uses genuine UV-resistant inks with standard and inside-glass application options. For the standard method, visuals are directly applied onto the front surface of the clear or opaque custom window cling, giving its surface a matte finish. For the inside-glass method, visuals are mirror-printed onto the back of the clear window clings. We only offer single-sided printing for our static window cling signs.

Our static window clings are made of a 7 mil flexible polyvinyl chloride that comes in rolls. Available in transparent and opaque finishes, it can be cut into custom shapes and sizes. Thanks to high-quality printing, the product can last over 5 years indoors and more than a year outdoors.

Vinyl Window Clings by Shape and Size

Square / Rectangle: This standard cut creates square or rectangle products with 90-degree corners.
Rounded: You get vinyl window clings in square or rectangle shapes with rounded corners for a soft and elegant look.
Custom Cut: This option is for personalized window clings in the exact outline shape of your design, excluding internal cut-outs.
Custom Cut with Border: The product is cut in the outline shape of your design with a thin border going around it for an extra pop․

Please note that we don’t provide cut-out designs for decorative window clings.

What are window clings?

Vinyl window clings are adhesive free displays that attach to glass. They come in plastic sheets available in white or transparent finishes that can take on custom graphics of any color. The clear version can be applied to the inside of a clear glass with the design looking out whereas the opaque has a white coat which gets direct printing for front facing designs.

How to make window clings?

How do window clings work?

A custom window cling is a glue-free display that can be applied to glass. It functions based on the static electricity created between one side of the display and a glossy application surface. You can reposition the static window cling and it won’t lose its adhesive properties.

How to apply window clings?

Clear the application area of any dust and debris. Remove the protector that covers the graphics on your static window cling and attach them to the application surface. Use a squeegee or a plastic card to smooth out the display, moving from the center to the edges.

Do window clings go inside or outside?

Our glass clings are suitable for both sides of any glass or similar veneer. You may use custom window clings with inside-glass graphics for transparent surfaces. This will prevent them coming loose or falling off because of heavy wind, rain, heat or snow when used outdoors.

How to remove window clings?

Removable window clings don’t leave any residue or stains on the application surface after use. To take them off, all you have to do is pull a corner of the display with your fingernail and peel it away. Be careful to keep the material intact if you want to reuse it later.

How to reuse window clings?

Both white and clear window clings are reusable. Stick your custom window cling onto a wax paper to store it for later. The paper will keep the sticky side clean and protect its clinging strength. Remove the protective layer and reapply whenever you want to use it.

How to clean window clings?

Wipe the surface of your window clings using a dampened microfiber cloth if they’re visibly dirty. Be careful to not peel them at the edges when cleaning.

How to store window clings?

For storage, choose a dry, clean spot away from direct sunlight and moisture. Avoid getting dust on the product to preserve its clinging effect. Clings for windows can curl at the edges when laid out in storage for an extended period of time. To prevent this, place a book on top to keep them flat or roll them up fully depending on their size.

How long does window cling last?

Window clings typically last more than five years when used indoors, protected from direct sunlight and temperature extremes. For outdoor use, expect a lifespan of 1+ year when exposed to sun, rain, and weather conditions.

Do window clings damage windows?

No, window clings do not damage windows when applied and removed correctly. Unlike adhesive decals, static clings use static electricity rather than glue, so they won't leave residue, cause scratches, or affect the glass surface.

Why won't my window clings stick?

Window clings may not stick if the glass surface is dirty, dusty, or has residue from cleaning products. To fix this, thoroughly clean the window with water or a mild soap solution, then dry completely before application. Other reasons include low-quality cling material, damaged or old clings.

What material are static cling signs made of?

Static cling signs are made from vinyl-based plastic material, specifically PVC (polyvinyl chloride) or similar polymers. Our static clings are made of a seven-mil polyvinyl chloride.

While I truly appreciated there help with my design I was dissapointed with the quality of the window cling. The color in my image is a bit transparent which I was not expecting so it looks a little thin and washed out. And I wouldn't consider this a cling as much as a sticker. I was hoping to have something resuable when I upgrade my space but because this is more like a sticker it won't be movable.

I ordered the inside window cling previously and it was perfect and application was seamless. This exterior window cling was anything but that. It came with missing adhesive and did not apply easy at all. I’m very disappointed.

I originally had concerns about how well the window cling would stick to the window before o received the product. My only experience has been holiday window clings from Walmart. Let me tell you this is a completely different grade of product and clings to the windows perfectly and way better then my expectations!!

Window clings are a wonderful alternative to glass stickers. I didn’t believe they could work so well until I got a couple of clings for my office divider. Was pleasantly surprised to see them stick without falling off. Been a few months and still going strong :)
