Custom Boat Decals and Lettering

Boat decals and lettering are adhesive vinyl graphics designed to be applied to a boat's surface. People also call them boat stickers or boat graphics.

Boat decals are pre-designed or custom-made graphics that stick to your hull. You can use them to display logos, registration numbers, stripes, and decorative artwork.

Boat lettering is designed to display boat names, registration numbers, hailing ports, and text in the font you choose. It gives your vessel a clear identity in crowded docks. It can also feature simple design elements. Without boat lettering, boats feel generic and hard to identify.

We make both from highly durable white opaque vinyl that withstands all weather conditions. The material resists saltwater, intense sun, and strong wind. Your graphics stay sharp and firmly in place for years.

Great boat graphics start with the right materials and printing process. To make sure your graphics are of great quality and won’t fade, we use UV-resistant inks. These inks cure under ultraviolet light, which bonds them tightly to the vinyl surface. That bond locks in color and stops it from washing out over time.

The result holds up against the two biggest threats on the water: constant sun and high humidity. This is why your reds stay red, and your blues stay blue, season after season.

Our boat decals and lettering are waterproof and brush off saltwater, spray, and rain. They are also resistant to cracks, scratches, and peeling.

We print custom boat decal stickers and lettering on a highly durable white opaque decal, 2 mil thick. This material flexes with your vessel’s surface and grips tight. It even fits the curved surfaces of your boat. It’s the same vinyl boat lettering pros trust for names and registration text.

We offer personalized decals and lettering for boats in different sizes, ranging from 2” x 2” to 58” x 1,680”. The smallest option, 2” x 2”, is perfect for registration numbers and small accents. You can scale up to large boat decals with a size of 58” x 1,680”.

Use mid-range sizes around 3” x 12” to 6” x 24” to feature your boat names. Larger graphics from 12” x 36” up are suitable for bold logos and side stripes across the hull.

Choose the largest 58” x 1,680” size if you want to get full hull wraps and large commercial designs.

It’s easy to put up your boat graphics. You need to do a little prep first to get a professional result. You can either install your product with dry or wet options.

Dry Installation
Step 1: Wash the application surface and let it dry completely.
Step 2: Use tape to temporarily position your boat graphics to make sure its spot is right.
Step 3: Peel away the back sheet from the bottom and pull it all the way off.
Step 4: Put your product onto the application area. Please note that after the application, you cannot move it.
Step 5: Remove all the air underneath your boat stickers with the help of a squeegee.
Step 6: Peel away the top sheet by starting to pull at an angle. Press it back down if the decal lifts with it. Squeegee again and try to pull from a new angle.

Wet Installation
Step 1: Make sure the application area is washed and clean. Wipe it down to remove any dirt and dry it thoroughly.
Step 2: Make sure your boat decal is level by positioning it with tape. Wet both the boat surface and the sticky side of the product with a soapy water mixture.
Step 3: Peel off the backing paper. Make sure the vinyl graphics stay attached to the clear transfer tape.
Step 4: Place the wet decal onto the wet zone. You can easily adjust its position to your liking, as it will be slippery.
Step 5: Use a squeegee to press the water out from the center to the outer edges.
Step 6: Let it dry for some time, preferably 15-20 minutes. Then peel the clear transfer tape off at a sharp angle.
Step 7: Lay the tape back down in the area with your squeegee if any letters or edges lift up.

Rinse your custom boat lettering and decals with fresh water after every outing. Clean the area with mild soap and a soft cloth, skipping scrubbing pads or harsh chemicals.

Keep your pressure washer at a distance to prevent the edges from lifting.

Always check the edges of your custom boat stickers and vinyl lettering for boats. Press down on any corner that starts to lift before it spreads.
