Window Cling Printing and Material
Our static window clings are made of a flexible 7-mil polyvinyl chloride material that comes in rolls. They’re available in transparent and white opaque finishes. The product can last over five years indoors and more than one year outdoors.
We provide high-resolution, full-color UV printing for custom window clings. We offer a standard and inside-glass application option.
Choose standard printing if you want your visuals to be applied directly onto the front surface of the product. This option is applicable to both clear and opaque window clings, resulting in a matte finish.
Use the in-glass method if you want to place your clear clings on the other side of the window. We offer only single-sided printing for this product.
Custom static cling window stickers are repositionable and reusable. You can relocate this product to a new application area if you don’t like its current placement.
They can be applied for seasonal deals, celebrations, or temporary decor. Remove and store them in a dry place to reuse them at a later date.
What sets this product apart from ordinary stickers is its adhesive-free backing. It leaves no messy residue on the application surface.

Finishes of Window Clings
Our custom window clings come in two finishes: clear and opaque. Here are the main differences you should know before making a decision.
Choose the white opaque material when you want your design to block the view. The white backing renders the printed colors more vibrant. It also obscures what’s behind the glass. Use it for storefront promotions, logos, and privacy.
Choose the clear material when you only want your design to be visible. Light passes right through the clear areas. This finish suits shop windows and glass doors.

Shapes of Vinyl Window Clings
- Square / Rectangle: This standard cut creates square or rectangular static window clings with 90-degree corners.
- Rounded: You get vinyl window clings in square or rectangular shapes with rounded corners for a soft and elegant look.
- Circle/Oval: This design has no corners to catch, lift, or peel. Use it for logos, badges, seals, and sale clings.
- Custom Cut: This option is for personalized window clings in the exact outline shape of your design, excluding internal cut-outs.
- Custom Cut with Border: The product is cut in the outline shape of your design with a thin border going around it for additional contrast and visibility.
Please note that we don’t provide cut-out designs for decorative window clings.

If you are looking for large window clings for business promotions, they can measure up to 36" x 24" and make bold storefront statements that read from across the street.

You can apply our custom-printed static window clings inside or outside glass doors and windows.

- Step 2: Remove the backing paper of your static cling.
- Step 3: Stick the cling to the glass.
- Step 4: Smooth it out with a squeegee to remove air bubbles.
Window static clings are glue-free, making them easy to reposition during the installation process.
Care and Storage
Window cling signs are reusable products, which means you need to take good care of them and store them properly.
How to Clean and Care
Your customized window cling may get dirty over time and lose its static feature. To avoid this, simply rinse them with warm water. You can also use mild soap if the product is too dirty. Let your static cling thoroughly air dry to prevent mold buildup during storage.
You can also gently wipe the graphics with a damp cloth, without taking the product off the glass.
How to Reapply
Mount your window cling using the same installation technique. If it doesn’t stick well, wet its backing with warm water and attach it to the glass. Don’t touch it with your bare hands, as skin oils may eliminate the static features.
How to Store
Stick a protective wax paper to the back of your window clings. Place them flat to avoid wrinkles and curling. The latter will permanently damage the adhesiveness. Keep the product in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. They can perfectly serve you for 2-3 years.

FAQs
- Vinyl window clings are adhesive-free displays that attach to glass. They come in plastic sheets, available in white or transparent finishes, ready to take on custom graphics of any color. The clear version can be applied to the inside of a clear glass with the design looking out. The opaque, on the other hand, has a white coat that gets direct printing for front-facing designs.
- The difference between a window cling and a decal is in their adhesiveness. Window clings don’t have sticky backing. They adhere to glass with their unique static electricity and are reusable. Window decals, on the other hand, are one-time stickers that adhere to glass and other smooth surfaces with glue.
- We offer opaque white and transparent materials for our window clings.
- The minimum and maximum sizes of our window clings are 6”x6” and 52”x850”, respectively.
- You can apply static clings for informative, promotional, and decorative purposes. Most businesses, retail stores, healthcare centers, and restaurants use window clings quite often.
- Make your own window clings with our sign design tool. Select the material finish that you want, along with a unique style that suits your needs. Design your business, personal, or holiday window clings with all the features on our platform, including modifiable templates and creative icons.
- A custom window cling is a glue-free display that can be applied to glass. It functions based on the static electricity created between one side of the display and a glossy application surface. You can reposition the product, and it won’t lose its adhesive properties.
- Clear the application area of any dust and debris. Remove the protector that covers the graphics on your static window cling and attach them to the application surface.
- Use a squeegee or a plastic card to smooth out the display and remove air bubbles trapped under the product, moving from the center to the edges.
- Our glass clings are suitable for both sides of any glass or similar veneer. You may use them with inside-glass graphics for transparent surfaces. This will prevent them from coming loose or falling off because of heavy wind, heat, or precipitation when used outdoors.
- Removable window clings don’t leave any residue or stains on the application surface after use. To take them off, all you have to do is pull a corner of the display with your fingernail and peel it away. Be careful to keep the material intact if you want to reuse it later.
- Both white and clear window clings are reusable. Stick your custom window cling onto a piece of wax paper to store it for later. The paper will keep the sticky side clean and protect its clinging strength. Remove the protective layer and reapply whenever you want to use it.
- Wipe the surface of your window cling signs using a damp microfiber cloth if they’re visibly dirty. Be careful not to peel them at the edges when cleaning.
- For storage, choose a dry, clean spot away from direct sunlight and moisture. Avoid getting dust on the product to preserve its clinging effect. Clings for windows can curl at the edges when stored for too long. To prevent this, place a book on top to keep them flat or roll them up fully, depending on their size.
- Custom vinyl clings typically last around five years when used indoors, protected from direct sunlight and temperature extremes. For outdoor use, expect a lifespan of 1+ years when exposed to sun, rain, and weather conditions.
- No, window vinyl clings don’t damage windows when applied and removed correctly. Unlike adhesive decals, static clings use static electricity rather than glue, so they won't leave residue, cause scratches, or affect the glass surface.
- Static clings may not stick if the glass surface is dirty, dusty, or has residue from cleaning products. To fix this, thoroughly clean the window with water or a mild soap solution, then dry completely before application. Other reasons include low-quality cling material, damaged, or old clings.
- Static cling signs are made from vinyl-based plastic material, specifically PVC (polyvinyl chloride) or similar polymers. We make the product with a 7-mil polyvinyl chloride.
- Both extreme heat and cold can damage window clings and reduce their lifespan. Intense sun exposure causes the colors to fade. On the other hand, cold damages the product’s adhesiveness and makes it fragile.
- Install your static clings on flat, smooth surfaces, such as glass, metal, and plastic. Avoid porous, textured, and frosted surfaces. They will create bubbles and reduce the adhesiveness of the product.
- Yes, your window cling will work on tinted windows. However, it’s best to apply them to the outside for clear visibility. In-glass installation is inconvenient, since the tinted glass will obscure the graphics and make it difficult to see.
- Our window clings come in 7 mil thickness.
- Static clings hold up well to normal handling, but they aren’t for heavy abrasion. The PVC material resists everyday wear on a window, where nothing rubs against it. Since window clings sit flat on glass, they rarely face scratching in typical use.
Apply your window cling inside the window to shield it from scuffs and weather. Avoid rubbing the printed surface with a rough cloth or abrasive cleaners. - Fast turnaround time takes one business day. Standard turnaround takes two business days. Production starts once you confirm your order and approve any proof. Keep in mind that turnaround covers production only, so add shipping time for your final delivery date.
- Not much, since static clings are simple to apply. They cling to glass on their own, with no adhesive or special tools required. Use a squeegee to smooth out air bubbles.
- No, your window static cling won’t melt. The PVC material handles typical indoor and outdoor temperatures without warping or losing shape. On very hot glass, like a sun-facing window in summer, the cling may soften slightly but returns to normal as it cools. For the best hold in extreme heat, apply it to the inside of the window.
- Keep your message short and easy to read from a distance. Lead with your logo, business name, and one key detail like your business hours.
Use bold colors so that the design stays visible on the glass. Pick a legible font, such as Helvetica, Arial, or Open Sans. Leave some space around the edges. - Not as separate pieces. Our custom cut follows the outline of your whole design, but it won’t separate each letter individually.
