Printing Technology and Materials of a Sandwich Board

We employ high-quality UV inks to print on A-frame business signs. The graphics don’t fade over time. The printed area turns matte, while the unprinted sections retain the material’s original look. You can order boards with the same or different designs on both sides.

Our sandwich boards come with standard and quick-change frames, both available in white and black. The graphic sheet on the standard sandwich board A-frame sign features an opaque adhesive vinyl or a reflective adhesive vinyl on both sides. You can peel either type off and replace it when you want to update your design.

The inserts for the changeable A-frame signage use standard corrugated plastic or coroplast with a reflective surface. Both faces are available in a 24" x 36" size to guarantee a proper fit. You can order the faces separately if you already have the frame and want to change its graphics.

Choose our reflective option to provide visibility to your signs at night. Our engineer-grade reflective vinyl contains a layer of microscopic glass beads under a resin layer. They catch light and redirect it back toward the eyes rather than letting it scatter.

Types of A-Frame Signage

Our sidewalk sandwich board signs come in two frames: standard and quick-change. Both types feature a display area of 24" x 36".

Standard Sandwich Boards: Our regular sandwich sign options are made of white or black plastic. The image prints on opaque or reflective adhesive vinyl and sticks to the frame after printing. You’re free to switch designs whenever you desire. Peel the vinyl face and replace it with a new one.
The black or white sandwich board frame measures 26" x 46". The graphics on it are 24" x 36" in size. This product weighs 18.5 lbs, and the frames have empty columns, which you can fill with sand to make them more stable. This will add around 10 lbs to its overall weight. The frame has locking hinges to prevent the product from opening wider than intended.

Quick-Change Boards: We have quick-change sandwich sign stands in two colors: white and black. We print the designs on standard or reflective corrugated plastic sheets and insert them into the frame. It has “stay tabs” that protect rigid material from falling off. The option lets you change displays by pulling out the old ones and sliding in new graphics.
Quick-change sandwich board signage measures 27" x 47". The size of the printed surfaces is 24" x 36". These products weigh 20 lbs and have ballasting columns that hold about 10 lbs of sand. The locked hinges prevent the frame from hyperextending.

Lamination Options for A-Frame Advertising Signs

We offer three lamination options for this product to guarantee extra protection and functionality. You can apply lamination to the printable material, regardless of the face type. The lamination covers only the face material. Please note that lamination is not available for reflective inserts.

Glossy Lamination: It enhances your display’s shine and shields it from wear. The surface is glossy but not rewritable with glossy lamination.
Matte Lamination: This option creates a glare-free finish and protects your board from scratches and fading. Use it if you want the unprinted areas to match the matte look of the printed sections.
Anti-Graffiti Lamination: It provides a glossy finish, extra protection, and a rewritable surface. Write with a temporary marker on the board and erase it with a damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.

Replaceable Inserts for Sandwich Board Signs

You can easily update the display of A-frame sandwich boards without replacing the whole structure. We offer standard and reflective vinyl and coroplast inserts for our sandwich board signs. Here are the details:

Opaque Vinyl

A 24" x 36" adhesive vinyl insert works for standard sandwich boards. It won’t leave any residue after removal. However, you can’t reuse the same face once it’s off.

Reflective Vinyl

Choose reflective vinyl to keep your sign visible after dark, especially useful for parking areas or nighttime events. You install and remove it the same way as opaque vinyl.

Corrugated Plastic

Our premium quick-change sandwich boards use a 24" x 36" corrugated plastic sign as an insert, making the swaps even easier. Make sure your board is 3/16" thick or thinner.

Reflective Corrugated Plastic

A quick-change sandwich board can also take on 24” x 36” reflective coroplast signs as inserts. They grant you additional visibility at night by reflecting light and illuminating your message.

How to Change Vinyl Faces: Peel off the old vinyl and clean the application area with a damp, non-abrasive cloth. Stick the new vinyl to the panel and smooth it out with a squeegee or a plastic card.

How to Change Corrugated Plastic Inserts: Pull out the old corrugated plastic panel and slide in the new one. Make sure you don’t fold or damage it during the installation.

Care and Storage of Custom A-frame Sidewalk Signs

It’s easy to take care of sandwich board signs. Wash it with warm, soapy water and wipe it dry with a non-abrasive microfiber cloth. You can leave it to air-dry in a cool, dry place. Avoid using harsh chemicals or alcohol-based cleaners. They will wipe off the printing and damage the plastic frame.

Reflective inserts also need the same gentle care, plus one extra step. Dry them fully before folding your sign closed. Trapped moisture can dull the reflective coating over time.

Store your product upright in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. You can also snap the frame closed and store it flat. Don’t place other items atop it to protect it from damage.
