Brushed Aluminum Signs

Brushed aluminum signs are premium plaques with a timeless, polished appearance. They have a matte metallic finish with a brushed texture, sharing a very distinct look compared to other aluminum signs.

A brushed aluminum sign is among the sturdiest metal signs, with high resistance to bending, corrosion, and weather damage. It’s made of traditional or composite brushed sheet, also known as brushed e-panel.

Custom brushed aluminum signs display company logos and names in corporate settings. They direct guests, show room numbers, provide business operating hours, and feature the company’s achievements on plaques.

Outdoors, custom brushed aluminum signs are great for storefronts, showcasing the brand name or directing to the entrance. They work well as business directories, parking signs, or warning signs at construction zones.

Brushed aluminum signs differ from solid aluminum signs in their more appealing, etched metallic appearance. Design and print your brushed aluminum signage with our intuitive design tool. Get your product delivered all across the US and Canada.

Our CNC cutting routers help us shape your brushed metal sign. The machines are software-driven to ensure pinpoint cutting accuracy. You can choose various shapes for your custom brushed aluminum signage. Also, remember that we don’t offer cut-out options.

• Square/Rectangle Cut: It’s a standard option that has pointed corners. This shape is suitable for traditional displays that convey information, directions, or regulations. Please take caution while installing products in this shape, as it has sharp edges.
• Rounded Cut: It’s similar to the standard square/rectangular cut, but features smoother rounded corners. It’s an ideal variant for modern signage in high-traffic areas. This option is safer and more user-friendly to handle.
• Circle/Oval Cut: This shape has no rigid edges. It’s visually soft and effective for specific branding and guidance applications.
• Custom Cut: You’ll have your photos cut in the exact shape of your design with this cutting option.
• Custom Cut With Border: This option creates a display cut in the exact shape of your design with a thin border running around it.

We offer several installation options for brushed metal signs.

• Standoffs: Use standoff bolts to secure your brushed aluminum signs to the wall. We also provide mounting tools and pre-drilled holes. Make sure to select these options in the design tool before checkout.
• Command Strips: It’s a no-drill wall-mounting solution that keeps your signage damage-free and flush against the wall. Mount your plaques with command strips to have a clean, minimalist display.
• Zip Ties: They’re a practical solution for outdoor use, especially on wire fences. Simply choose pre-punctured holes and secure your sign firmly with zip ties.
• Easel Backs: These accessories are ideal for desks, countertops, and mantels. Easel backs let your displays stand freely without wall support. They’re perfect for presentations or indoor décor.
• French Cleats: This option ensures a clean and secure hold. The special brackets keep the display level by interlocking with each other. French cleats can hold up large displays without drilling holes in the material.

We offer several installation options for brushed metal signs.

Standoffs: Use standoffs to mount your brushed aluminum sign directly to the wall.

Step 1: Mark the spots on the application area using the drilled holes in your signs as a reference.
Step 2: Drill the holes.
Step 3: Force the anchor into the hole. Place the spacer on the wall and screw it in place.
Step 4: Align the drilled hole of the material with the hole of the spacer.
Step 5: Screw the cap into the hole to dead-fix the material.
Step 6: Repeat the process for as many holes as there are.

*Please note that you should select the drilled holes and standoff options from the design tool before finalizing your order.

Command Strips: Use Command Strips if you prefer a no-drill wall-mounting solution. These strips stay hidden and provide a clean look to the display.

Step 1: Clean the application area with rubbing alcohol.
Step 2: Separate the strips and click them together.
Step 3: Peel the backing paper off the adhesive part of one of the strips.
Step 4: Adhere the exposed backing of the strips to the back of your product.
Step 5: Peel the backing paper off the other side of the Command Strips.
Step 6: Firmly press the adhesive backs of the Command Strips to the wall.
Step 7: Ensure that your product is firmly fastened to the application area.

Note: We recommend using these accessories with opaque or fully-printed materials only.

Zip Ties: Use zip ties to provide a secure installation for your brushed aluminum signs in all seasons, indoors and outdoors.

Step 1: Make sure that your product is level.
Step 2: Pass the zip tie through the grommet (pre-drilled hole).
Step 3: Pull the zip tie tight until there is no wiggle room.
Step 4: Cut the extra part for a cleaner look.
Step 5: Repeat the process for as many zip ties as there are.

Easel Backs: Use this setup option if you want your brushed aluminum sign stand without support on desks or countertops.

Step 1: Fold the wing of the easel back to open the pre-dotted area.
Step 2: Fold down the circular easel stabilizer to secure the wing in its slot.
Step 3: Remove the tape from the adhesive parts of the easel back.
Step 4: Fix the easel back to the back of your brushed aluminum sign.
Step 5: Press it for a few seconds to make sure it’s firmly bound.

French Cleats: Use French Cleats if you want to have a flawless display with hidden installation accessories.

Step 1: Mark the area on the wall where you want your sign to be. Use a level to make sure it is properly positioned.
Step 2: Attach a piece of double-sided tape to the back of the mounting bracket.
Step 3: Attach the mounting bracket with the double-sided tape to the wall.
Step 4: Slide the sign with the preinstalled mounting brackets on the back into place onto the mounting brackets installed on the wall.

Note: Contact our specialists if you want to fasten your French cleats to the pre-drilled wall with screws.

It’s easy to care for brushed aluminum prints. Here is how you can maintain your product to serve you for a long time.

How to Clean: Dust it with a soft, non-abrasive cloth in circular motions. Put a small amount of water on a soft microfiber cloth and wipe the surface. It instantly evaporates, leaving the material clean and shiny.

Wash your custom brushed aluminum sign with mild soapy water to remove grime, food splatters, and other debris. Rinse it with clean, warm water and let it air dry.

What to Avoid: Never use harsh chemicals like bleach or ammonia-based cleaners. These solvents will permanently damage the material and printing.

Avoid abrasives, paper towels, brushes, and scrubbing pads to prevent scratches on the surface. Also, avoid spraying liquid cleaners directly onto the material.

How to Maintain: Keep the display away from direct sunlight. UV rays will cause the inks to fade over time. Don’t install it in humid areas or places with fluctuating temperatures.

How to Store: Wrap the display in glassine paper, bubble wrap, or another non-abrasive material. Never stack several metal displays on top of each other. Use cardboard edge protectors to prevent the display from bending.
