Can I make holes in my brushed aluminum sign?

Yes, you can. However, if you damage your brushed aluminum signs, we won’t be able to replace or repair them. If you don’t want to risk damaging your sign, we can drill the holes for you.

What materials do you use to print a brushed aluminum sign?

We use two materials to print brushed aluminum signs. We use standard aluminum with a brushed silver finish, or an aluminum composite material with the same brushed silver finish. Both offer glare-free, non-reflective finishes. Brushed aluminum composite offers additional rigidity and durability.

Is brushed aluminum durable? Will the product bend or fade?

Brushed aluminum is a very resilient material that offers excellent resistance to daily wear and tear. It’s a popular choice for high-contact and industrial applications.

Depending on the material and its thickness, it can bend if subjected to heavy impact. That being said, brushed composite aluminum offers added durability thanks to its aluminum and polystyrene layers.

We use UV-cured inks that guarantee long-lasting prints that won’t fade for a long time.

Can I use custom brushed aluminum signage both outdoors and indoors?

Yes, you can. Brushed aluminum signs are perfect for outdoor usage as they’re rust-proof, weather-resistant, and durable. Brushed aluminum signs are lightweight and can withstand humid areas. Indoors, brushed metal signs help businesses boost their branding, promote product launches, or embellish dull spaces with a polished finish.

Can I print brushed metal signs in different colors?

Yes, you can. You can customize the color for your brushed aluminum sign by using our sign design tool. We print our signs with UV-cured inks that allow for full-color images and logos. This type of printing makes your sign’s colors remain vivid.

Please note that printing the entire surface of brushed aluminum signage, regardless of material and thickness, will cause the sign to lose its brushed effect.

What is the thickness of your custom brushed aluminum signs?

We offer two thickness options for brushed metal signs: 0.032” (standard aluminum) and 0.125” (aluminum composite material). The first option is great for indoor office lobby logos, reception signs, and suite identification numbers. The second variant, which is more rigid and resilient, works better for exterior branding, business storefronts, and architectural signs.

What shapes are available for this product? What does the custom shape mean?

The shapes we offer for custom brushed aluminum signs are square/rectangle, rounded, circle/oval, and custom cut. The latter matches the shape of the substrate on which we print your sign to your design.

How many drilled holes should my sign have?

It depends on the shape and size of your product. If you order a narrow sign, two holes are more than enough, one on each side of the sign. If the sign is medium-sized, you might need to order four drilled holes - one at each corner, or at the center of each side. If your sign is on the larger side, you may even order six drilled holes - one on each corner with an additional two in the center of the top and bottom sides, or on the left and right sides.

Can I print double-sided brushed aluminum signage?

Yes, you can. You can choose double-sided printing with the same design or with different designs on each side.

What are some common uses for brushed aluminum signs?

Brushed metal signs have many applications. Businesses use them to feature brand logos, name rooms, identify departments, simplify wayfinding, or decorate an area.

How should I choose an installation method?

You can install this product using various methods. If you’re going to display your brushed aluminum signage outdoors, you need to select an option that provides a more secure installation, such as with standoffs or zip ties. For indoor setup, command strips and easel backs are ideal.

It depends on where you’ll install them. They last around five years outdoors and around a decade indoors.
