Step 1: Clean the wall before application to make sure there are no dust particles or other debris present. Use a damp cloth to wipe it off and let it dry before you apply the decals. If the wall is damp or dirty, it may decrease the decal’s adhesiveness.
Step 2: Now, take the decal and slowly peel a part of the backing paper off and use that as the starting point to apply the decal to the wall.
Step 3: Carefully pass the squeegee (a special tool used for decal application but bank cards or other sturdy, flat materials can be used as well) along the applied part of the decal for a firm and even application.
Step 4: Remove the rest of the backing tape as you go. Continue applying the decal to the wall while pressing it down and fixing it with the squeegee at the same time to avoid wrinkles and air bubbles.
When the backing paper is completely removed, the decal will be firmly fixed onto the wall. Make sure to thoroughly pass over the decal with the squeegee to get rid of any left over air bubbles.
If you order wall letters, numbers, or separate graphics, your decals will have an additional layer called a transfer paper. The letters are pre-spaced on the transfer paper to make the installation easier. Use the same technique to apply these decals except at the end, remove the transfer paper to leave your decal perfectly pasted onto the wall.
