The board is made of a foam core sandwiched between two sheets of paper on either side. Those layers are firmly attached and won’t peel off. Foam board signs are a prime solution for short to mid-term indoor use. They’re cost-effective and stand out with a professional look. Foam board posters are light as a feather yet highly durable.

Shape Options for Foam Board Signs
Create custom foam board posters in any shape you like by using our design platform. To guide you through the process of shaping your boards, here are the available options explained. Choose the one you like during the design process so we cut it the way you prefer.
Square/Rectangle
The standard shape of foam board signs comes with pointed 90° angles. It’s the most preferred shape for the paper-faced board for personal and business needs. This is the default foam board poster printing option in our tool and is free of charge.
Rounded
The rounded option has the same shape as the default square or rectangle cuts. Yet, the pointed corners are rounded at a ½”, ¾” or 1” ratio, depending on the size. This option will give your foam board printing a softer appearance.
Outline
Do you need a custom shape for your boards? Get them outline cut on our platform. All you need to do is create a design that has a distinct outline and choose the respective cutting option.
Overline
Along with the same features that the outline cutting option has, overline cutting comes with an added ¼"-½" border around your design. The border will have the natural color of the material, which is white in this case. If you need the border to have another color or pattern, include it in the design and choose the outline option instead. Please keep in mind that the border size will be included in the overall product size you choose.
Foam Board Signs Printing Sides
- Foam Board Printing on One Side: While both faces are printable, the default and widely used option is getting only one side printed. Single-sided foam core printing has its advantages. You get the product outline or overline cut, with no concerns about the design staying out of the mirrored shape on the reverse side.
- Foam Board Printing on Both Sides: If you want to extract the best your foam board posters can offer, get both sides printed with the same or different designs. Double-sided foam board poster printing lets you achieve even greater exposure. Opt for a different design printed on each side to convey more information. Mounting Options for Foam Board Signs
Foam board posters come with a range of mounting options. Select the needed accessories on our design tool and order them along with your display. Please keep in mind that you’ll also need to select the number of drilled holes and their positioning if you want us to drill them for you.
Direct Mounting
Stick foam board posters directly to the wall or any other surface with command strips. This option doesn’t require drilled holes and it won’t leave any residue. The recommended way to apply this option is by placing strips on the four corners of your foam board poster. They can support up to 12 Ibs of weight, so rest assured that the product stays put.
Free Standing
The foam board isn’t self-supporting, but you can lean it against a wall or put it on a stand. We offer easel backs that work just like the easels of photo frames. They’re intended for relatively smaller foam prints. Read all the relevant information about the sizes of the easels and the products they can hold while choosing your accessories on our tool.
Hanging
Since foam board signs are light you’re free to hang them on the wall or storefront window. If you’ve chosen custom foam board printing on both sides consider hanging them from the ceiling for maximum efficiency. Choose suction cups and hooks or zip ties from the accessories.
