Custom aluminum signs are versatile in nature and offer a variety of installation options based on the installation location and size of the sign.
Aluminum Signs can be installed with screws, standoffs, command strips, zip ties and similar fasteners. They can be mounted on brick or concrete walls or fences, hung from trade show booths, lobby ceilings or placed on flat surfaces using easel backs.
Aluminum Sign Installation with Standoffs
Step 1: Determine the location where the sign should be installed with a leveling tool.
Step 2: Drill the holes according to the predrilled holes of the actual sign.
Step 3: Insert the wall plug into the drilled wall.
Step 4: Use the screwdriver to screw through the standoff body into the wall anchor.
Step 5: Place the aluminum sign through the standoff cup onto the standoff body and fix it into place.
Aluminum Sign Direct Installation with Command Strips
Step 1: Wipe the dust off from the surface selected for hanging.
Step 2: Make sure the surface is dry and free of grease.
Step 3: Take a pair of strips and press the fasteners together until they click.
Step 4: Remove one of the backing liners from the fasteners and position it on the back of the aluminum frame.
Step 5: Press the fasteners firmly on all 4 corners and remove the other backing liner.
Step 6: Position the aluminum frame onto the wall then press and hold for 30 seconds.
Step 7: Remove the frame (yes, you just did the opposite but go with it) and press each fastener both on the wall and frame for another 30 seconds.
Step 8: Wait for 1 hour so the strip’s adhesive bonds to the wall and frame.
Step 9: Mount back the frame to each set of fasteners.
Note: We offer medium size command strips that hold up to 5.4kg of frame.
Removal or Repositioning:
Step 1: Grab the bottom corners of the sign and remove it by pulling away from the surface.
Step 2: Pull the tab of the adhesive strip until it comes off the wall.
Aluminum Sign Installation with Zip Ties
Step 1: Make sure that your sign is positioned straight.
Step 2: Pass the zip lines through the pre-drilled holes.
Step 3: Tighten down the zip ties from all the corners.
Step 4: Snap them into place until there is no wiggle room left.
Step 5: Cut down the leftover parts with scissors for a cleaner look.
Note: We recommend your custom sign with predrilled holes, which will make the installation look more neat and professional.
Aluminum Sign Installation with Easel Backs
Easel backs are lightweight cardboard stands for displaying small aluminum signs on tables or countertops.
Step 1: Take one of the easel backs and fold the wing inward to cut open the pre-dotted area. Repeat the same action on the other easel back.
Step 2: Fold down the circular easel stabilizer and secure easel wings in the slot on both easel backs.
Step 3: Peel off the tapes from the adhesive bands on both easel backs.
Step 4: Position the adhesive parts of the easel backs on both sides of the sign and press for a few seconds to make sure they are securely fixed.
That’s it. Now you can display your small aluminum sign on any flat surface.
